‘Fast & Furious’ Franchise to End After Two More Films

According to Deadline, the wildly successful Fast and Furious franchise will only continue for two more films after the upcoming F9, both of which will be directed by Justin Lin. Lin is no stranger to the Fast franchise, having directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious and March 2021’s  F9.

There is no word on casting, but we can assume the films will include some if not all of the previous cast, including Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron, and perhaps John Cena, Helen Mirren, Cardi B  and Ozuna, who will appear in F9. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are the only questionable returns, as they left the franchise to star in the spinoff Hobbs & Shaw, not to mention the falling out between Johnson and Diesel.

There are also no details regarding plots, though we recently reported that star Michelle Rodriguez let it slip that the franchise may be heading to outer space.
