Marvel Studios has finally dropped the official trailer for their highly anticipated film Avengers: Doomsday.
The footage reunites a massive roster of heroes while confirming the return of Robert Downey Jr. to the franchise, this time portraying the iconic villain Doctor Doom rather than Tony Stark. The trailer teases an apocalyptic, multiversal conflict, showcasing large-scale action sequences, unexpected character team-ups, and ominous glimpses of Doctor Doom’s growing power. Familiar Avengers join forces with members of the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts, and the X-Men, hinting at an unprecedented crossover event. While the preview reveals plenty of explosive spectacle, it leaves many of its biggest story details shrouded in mystery, setting the stage for what appears to be Marvel’s most ambitious ensemble film since Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Doomsday lands in movie theaters on Dec. 18, 2026. A direct sequel is already in the works, with 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars.
