There has been much speculation as to what original content will be featured on Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney Play. We know about the live–action Star Wars series being developed by Jon Favreau, but it’s been announced that the characters Loki and Scarlet Witch will each get their own series on the network.
Like he did with ABC’s Agent Carter, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is expected to take a hands-on role in the development of each series. Both Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Olsen are expected to reprise their roles, with other Marvel characters expected to pop up in cameos. The shows are both in early development stages.
Disney Play is expected to launch sometime in 2019.
