Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker is in negotiations to join the cast of the Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One. The film, which will take place between Episode III and Episode IV, will also star Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn, with Gareth Edwards directing.
Whitaker is currently filming the sci-fi drama The Story of Your Life with Amy Adams, and is in negotiations to appear in The Crow remake. Two science fiction films and a comic book remake? Sounds like someone is trying to get his geek street-cred back after Battlefield Earth.
