According to a report bt NBC News, Disney is looking to wrap up the Fox acquisition deal in totality by January 2019, leading the path for Fox’s Marvel characters, including the X-Men, Wolverine, Deadpool, Cable, X-Force, Fantastic Four, Galactus, Silver Surfer and more, to join the MCU. This report contradicts earlier reports of the Disney-Fox deal going through through by Spring or early Summer 2019.
While this new time frame seems to have more to do with the studios’ cable and streaming services, it does seem to allow the Fox Marvel characters to appear with the Disney Marvel characters earlier than anticipated, though it’s unclear if that will impact Avengers: End Game. At the very least, it will allow Marvel to start including them in Phase 4 of the MCU as well as upcoming Disney + streaming series.
