Weekend Box Office Report Dec. 25th – 27th

Well the Holiday weekend has come and gone but Star Wars is an unstoppable force!  For a second week in a row The Force Awakens cashed in big at the box office and is crushing records on daily basis. It took in another $150,000,000 in ticket sales bringing its week and a half total to over $540,000,000!  There were a couple honorable mentions this weekend.  Daddy’s Home the new Will Ferrell comedy took in an impressive $39,000,000 and Joy managed to grab $17,000,000.  The Hateful Eight managed to round up $4,500,000 in a very limited opening, it doesn’t open in a wide release until this weekend.  All decent numbers considering, uhm, STAR WARS!  Pretty sure its going to be sitting at the top of the heap for a while.  I mean it broke a billion dollars in less than a week in worldwide ticket sales.  Dats a lot of moolah!
