The trailer for A24’s upcoming emotional drama “Tuesday,” starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep,” “Seinfeld”) and Lola Petticrew (“Bump Along the Way,” “Dating Amber”), has been released.
Louis-Dreyfus portrays a devoted, kind mother to a teenage daughter who has a terminal illness (Petticrew). The two share a strong bond, and the opening moments of the “Tuesday” teaser demonstrate how they’ve cheerfully and humorously accepted their situation, unfazed by the death shadow that hangs over them.
That all changes when death, in the shape of a talking bird, literally confronts the girl. In this heartbreaking drama about the echoes of loss and finding strength in the unexpected, the mother must gradually come to terms with the shortness of her daughter’s life on Earth.
The movie is scheduled for release later this summer, having made its debut on September 1 at the 50th Telluride Film Festival.
