Taylor Tomlinson to Host CBS’ ‘After Midnight’

Stand-up comedian Taylor Tomlinson has been chosen by CBS to anchor the new late-night series “After Midnight.” Stephen Colbert, who announced Tomlinson during the Wednesday episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” serves as the executive producer of the project. On stage, Tomlinson and Colbert then talked about the news.

Recent TV appearances for Tomlinson include the comedic Netflix specials “Look At You” and “Quarter Life Crisis.”

“After Midnight” will debut in early 2024, taking up the time slot formerly occupied by “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” as was announced earlier today. It is based on the panel show “@midnight,” which ran on Comedy Central after “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report” from October 2013 to August 2017. Guests, primarily comedians, would interact with host Chris Hardwick in a game show-like setting.

Jack Martin, showrunner on all four seasons of “@midnight, and Eric Pierce will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.
