‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’ Film Starring Ariana Grande and Josh Gad Announced

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation has announced a feature‑length, animated musical adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s enduring fan favorite Oh, the Places You’ll Go!. The film will star the acting and singing talents ofAriana Grande and Josh Gad.

The project is being helmed by Jon M. Chu, fresh from Wicked, with Jill Culton (known for Monsters, Inc. and Abominable) co-directing. The screenplay adaptation is credited to Rob Lieber, writer of Peter Rabbit. J.J. Abrams and Gregg Taylor, under the Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation banner, will be producing, in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises.

Dr. Seuss’s 1990 picture book follows a nameless protagonist in second person, navigating life’s highs and lows. Unlike earlier Seuss adaptations, this film will expand significantly on the book’s sparse narrative—introducing new characters, settings, and plotlines to build a fully fleshed-out story across standard feature length. This marks the second film in Warner Bros.’ broader Seuss universe rollout—following The Cat in the Hat (slated for February 27, 2026). Both launch under the overarching “Seussiverse” initiative.

Oh, the Places You’ll Go! is scheduled to be released on March 17, 2028.
