The 75th Emmy honors were given on Monday at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. “The Bear,” “Succession,” and “Beef,” each taking home multiple honors, were the top winners of the evening. Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri (“The Bear”) and Steven Yeun and Ali Wong (“Beef”) were two noteworthy first-time winners.
“black-ish” actor Anthony Anderson hosted the event, which aired live on Fox and will be accessible to stream on Hulu starting on Tuesday. It was originally slated for September, but the simultaneous strikes by Hollywood actors and writers forced a postponement.
Elton John was another big winner on the night. The iconic singer-songwriter’s Disney+ special “Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium” won outstanding live variety special, and as a result, he joined the exclusive EGOT club (those who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony).
