As we anticipated, Disney confirmed the rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi series for the upcoming streaming service, Disney+ at this year’s D23. Ewan McGregor was on hand to help make the announcement (below), who seemed relieved that he was finally able to talk about it publicly. McGregor’s portrayal of Kenobi is arguably the best part of the prequels, and fans have been hoping to see more of him in the role.
Production is set to begin in 2020.
