According to UK’s the Mirror, James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli has confirmed that Daniel Craig will be returning for a fifth outing as 007. The actor had previously stated that he would rather slit his wrists then return as Bond, but he has apparently changed his mind. Craig’s run has been the most financially successful it the series’ over half of a decade history. Critically they’ve been a bit inconsistent, but Casino Royale’s 95% and Skyfall’s 93% on Rotten Tomatoes makes them two of the best reviewed films in the series. Craig is considered by many to be the second best Bond behind Sean Connery, with others putting him at the top of the list, so it will be nice to have him around for one more go at it.
Adele is also being reported to return to record a new Bond theme, though it will be tough to match her Grammy and Academy Award winning theme for Skyfall.
