‘Pushing Daisies’ Season 3 In The Works

Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller says a third season of the cult favorite ABC series is in the works

While promoting his latest film, Dust Bunny, Fuller was asked by The Mary Sue about the possibility of the comedy-drama returning, to which he responded, “Absolutely. We have a season three pitch, and the entire cast wants to come back, and we’re hoping we get to return to them. We just have to find somebody who wants to make it.”

Warner Bros. Television produced the mystery-fantasy series, which debuted on ABC in October 2007 and ran for two seasons. Lee Pace played Ned in the series, a pie maker with the ability to resurrect the dead. Anna Friel played Chuck, Kristin Chenoweth played Olive Snook, Chi McBride played Emerson Cod, Swoosie Kurtz played Lili Charles, and Ellen Greene played Vivian Charles. Veteran stage actor and Harry Potter audiobooks narrator Jim Dale narrated the series.

Pushing Daisies was nominated for several Emmy Awards,  scoring 17 nominations and winning 7, including Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Chenoweth, among others.

Both seasons of Pushing Daisies are streaming on HBO Max.
