When Back to the Future premiered in 1985, it immediately became a modern day classic. Now, forty years later, its legacy endures as one of the most beloved and influential films in cinematic history. With its clever blend of science fiction, heartwarming storytelling, and sharp humor, the film not only defined a generation but also inspired countless filmmakers, fans, and pop culture references that persist to this day. As we celebrate its 40th anniversary, Back to the Future remains a timeless reminder that great storytelling—and a DeLorean with a flux capacitor—can truly stand the test of time.
We’ve collected all our Back to the Future-related interviews to commemorate the film’s milestone, including interviews with co-creator Bob Gale, composer Alan Silvestri, Crispin Glover (George McFly,) Claudia Wells (Jennifer), James Tolkan (Mr. Stricklin) Jeffrey Weissman (George McFly, Part II), and Charles Fleischer (Terry, Part II).
