Deadline is reporting that Disney Channel star Zendaya has landed a role opposite Tom Holland’s Spider-Man/Peter Parker in Marvel’s upcoming reboot of the franchise. The actress (whose full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman) is best known for her roles on the shows Shake it Up and K.C. Undercover, as well as a run on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
All that is known about her character in Spider-Man is that her name with be Michelle, though there is no further information is available. The film, to be directed by Jon Watts, opens July 7, 2017.
