Watch “One World: Together At Home” Special Here

Saturday night’s “One World: Together At Home” broadcast featured a who’s who of musical A-listers giving performances from the homes to celebrate COVID-19 workers. The 2-hour special, presented by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization,  was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon and featured performances by Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones, Sam Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Elton John, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Kacey Musgraves, J Balvin, Billie Joe Armstrong, Eddie Vedder, Chris Martin, Lang Lang, Alanis Morissette, Burna Boy and Stevie Wonder.

The broadcast was simulcast on NBC, CBS and ABS and brought in a combined 14.6 million viewers. it also demonstrated the difference in quality of production between the three network late night hosts. Stephen Colbert’s home “Late Night”  looks on par with his Ed Sullivan Theater studio, with a high def image, and background monitor and even an ear piece. Jimmy Kimmel’s is nearly as good a quality, but Jimmy Fallon’s looks like he’s using his grandmother’s burner flip phone to broadcast. There are nickel YouTubers with better production quality. What is NBC doing with their money? Did they blow it all on Savannah Guthrie’s home studio?
