Hemsworth wrote ‘Thanks for the hospitality #russellcrowe” in his Instagram post but Crowe was not the only celebrity to make an appearance with members of the MCU film over the weekend. Jeff Goldblum was spotted at a rugby game with Hemsworth and Waititi which also produced speculations that the actor would be reprising his Thor: Ragnarok role of Grandmaster.

Although Crowe’s role is unconfirmed, photos on the set of Thor: Love and Thunder showed another play taking place within the film that included Matt Damon, once again portraying Loki, Luke Hemsworth as Thor, and more recently, Melissa McCarthy as Hela. Previously in Thor: Ragnarok, Sam Neill could also be seen playing Odin so there is a chance Crowe could be added to one of these scenes.
Other confirmed cast members of the latest installment of the Thor franchise include Christian Bale who will play the villain Gorr the God Butcher along with Chris Pratt who is returning as Star-Lord/Peter Quill from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to release February 11, 2022.
