In a non-April Fool’s Day marketing push, Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for The Suicide Squad.
James Gunn is directing the R-rated, superhero action-adventure that serves as a sequel to the 2016 film Suicide Squad.
Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang) are all reprising their roles but The Suicide Squad‘s cast is adding an array of brand new characters. Of the ensemble cast, the list includes some top stars including Sylvester Stallone, John Cena (Peacemaker), Michael Rooker (Savant), Idris Elba (Bloodsport), and Pete Davidson (Blackguard).
The cast is also gaining Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.), Flula Borg (Javelin), David Dastmalchian (Polka-Dot Man), Daniela Melchior (Ratcatcher2), Mayling Ng (Mongal), Sean Gunn (Weasel), Peter Capaldi (The Tinkerer), Juan Diego Botto (Presidente General Silvio Luna), Joaquín Cosío (Mayor General Mateo Suarez), Jenn Holland (Emilia Harcourt), Storm Reid (Tyla), and Alice Braga (SolSoria). Just a small cast.
The Suicide Squad, which will be Gunn’s first feature film since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 in 2017, opens in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6th.
