In casting news we didn’t see coming, Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Paul McCartney has joined the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg and producer Jerry Bruckheimer have gone back to shoot an additional bid set piece, and McCartney will be playing a role in it. The Ex-Beatle has had a few big screen acting roles during his long music career, but the last one as a bit part in a 1987 British film called Eat the Rich He’ll be joining Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario and Orlando Bloom.
