They’ll be one less contender at the Oscars this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oliver Stone’s film Snowden about Edward Snowden, the former government contractor who leaked classified information, has been pushed from its original Christmas Day release date until sometime in 2016. Apparently the film, which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley, will not be finished, meaning it it not be a contender in this year’s’ Academy Awards. It will be interesting to see if they wait until next Oscar season to release it.
