“No Time to Die” Pushed Back to November Amind Coronavirus Concerns

The 25th James Bond film No Time to Die has been pushed back to November 25th from its original April 10th release (April 2nd in the UK). The decision was based on the current coronavirus global outbreak, in particular in Asia. This statement was provided to Deadline:

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of No Time to Die will be postponed until November 2020. The film will be released in the U.K. on November 12, 2020 with worldwide release dates to follow, including the U.S. launch on November 25, 2020.”

It’s not terribly surprising. 007 is a global brand, and with large chunks of the world’s population not leaving their homes, the film would take a huge hit. Rather than a summer blockbuster, Bond will now be released in time for the holiday rush.
