Marvel is sparing no expense in the casting department when it comes to Thor: Ragnarok. In addition to Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Cate Blanchett as Hela, and Sir Anthony Hopkins as Odin, they’ve just added Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge. The plot is reported to center around Thor getting banished from Asgard to gladiator planet, where he’s forced into combat against the Hulk. This would be Marvel’s way of getting a “Planet Hulk” movie made, even though they don’t have the rights to a solo Hulk movie.
Thor: Ragnarok opens November 3, 2017.
