Cruise’s “MI:6” Injury Shuts Down Production for Months

It’s being reported that the injuries sustained to Tom Cruise while filming a stunt for Mission Impossible 6 were worse than imagined, and that production will need to shut down for approximately four months while the actor recovers.  Cruise was injured during a stunt that involved jumping from rigging onto a nearby building rooftop, resulting in two broken bones in his ankle.

Producer had David Ellison previously revealed that Cruise had been “training for a year” for the role:

“What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable – he’s been training for a year. It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after ‘Rogue Nation’ came out. It’s gonna be mind-blowing.”

There is no official report about how production will be effected.
