This horror/comedy has a group of teachers, including Elijah Wood and Rainn Wislon, battling a bunch of zombie-like elementary students. This isn’t the first time Wood has faught hordes of evil at a school. He, along with classmates Jordana Brewster and Josh Harnett, faced off against the alien possesed teachers in Robert Rodriguez’s 1998 sci-fi/horror film, The Faculty. This genre always has potential, as well as a decent track record, with movies like Evil Dead 2, Shawn of the Dead, Zombieland, and Tucker and Dale vs Evil. Not to mention, Elijah Wood has made a series of really good choices in his roles as of late.
Cooties will be released in select theaters and on demand on September 18, 2015.
