Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans will be pleased to learn that Audible has just announced the first ever original audio series in the Buffyverse.
Slayers: A Buffyverse Story will be available on the popular audio platform on October 12, 2023, and will serve as a reunion for eight original stars of the show. Returning cast members include James Marsters (Spike), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia), Anthony Head (Giles), Juliet Landau (Drusilla), Emma Caulfield (Anya), Amber Benson (Tara), James Charles Leary (Clem), and Danny Strong (Jonathan). They will be joined by newcomer LayaDeLeon Hayes as Indira Nunnall, a sixteen-year-old Slayer.
Notable absences include the series’ three main stars, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan and Nicholas Brendon. It should also be noted that a few of those returning portrayed characters that were killed off of the series.
The series was written by Benson and Christopher Golden, author of many Buffyverse novels, and directed by Benson, Golden, and KC Wayland.
