Tami Stronach, best known for playing the Childlike Empress in 1984’s “The NeverEnding Story,” is set to star in and executive produce a new children’s 80s-inspired fantasy film called “Man & Witch.” The film was written by Stronach, Greg Steinbruner and will costar Sean Astin and Emmy winners Rhea Perlman (Cheers), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) and Michael Emerson (Lost, Person of Interest).
Stronach will play a powerful and mysterious witch who loses her heart to a hapless goatherd when he hires her to break a curse by an evil wizard. In true 80s fashion, The Jim Henson Creature Shop will be providing their services creating talking sheep, goose and dog puppets.
Production is expected to begin is the fall.
