This promotional clip for the upcoming Logan briefly shows the origin of Wolverine clone X-23, who is the focus of the film. The clip shows her bloody surgery transforming her into a Wolverine-like mutant, which is bit more gruesome than Wolverine’s surgery flashbacks in X-Men 2.
The official synopsis of the film is as follows: “Set in 2024, Logan and Professor Charles Xavier must cope with the loss of the X-Men at the hands of a corporation led by Nathaniel Essex. With Logan’s healing abilities slowly fading and Xavier’s Alzheimer’s hampering his memory, Logan must defeat Essex with the help of a young girl named Laura Kinney, a female clone of Wolverine.”
Directed by James Mangold, the film stars Hugh Jackman, Sienna Novikov, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, and Patrick Stewart. Logan is scheduled to be released on March 3, 2017.
