Weekend Box Office Report November 27th – 29th

In no surprise at all the new Hunger Games movie easily held the top spot at the box office this weekend, bringing in another $52,000,000.  That brings the film’s total to just about 200 million in less than two weeks.  The two new wide releases that landed in the top ten, The Good Dinosaur and the Rocky spinoff Creed, opened in the number 2 and 3 spots.  There was one other new wide release movie, Victor Frankenstein, which opened to an abysmal $2,000,000 all the way down in twelfth place.  That’s bad, really really bad, in fact its a new weeknd record for worst wide release studio opening.  Guess the four people that went and saw it shouldn’t hold out for a sequel. Spectre dropped to number four this week but still managed to bring in about $13,000,000, and is finally starting to make money.
