In an interview with news.com.au, actor Warwick Davis confirmed that he will be appearing in Star wars Episode VIII, though he gave no further details beyond that. Here’s what he had to say when asked if he has a role in the film:
“I do, yes. That’s all I can say.”
Davis first appeared in the Star Wars universe in the iconic role of the Ewok, Wicket (reprising the role for a couple of TV Ewok films). He returned to Star Wars in The Phantom Menace in a trio of roles (Wald / Pod race spectator / Mos Espa Citizen), and again in last year’s The Force Awakens. Before Episode VII, we can expect to see him in Rogue One, tough we know nothing of the role he’ll play. In addition to Star Wars, Davis in known for his roles in Willow and the Harry Potter series, playing both Professor Flitwick and a goblin bank teller. We went on to star in the Ricky Gervais produced self parodying series Life’s Too Short.
While we know nothing about the role, Davis has always been a fan favorite, so any role is welcome.
