Deadline is reporting that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will star in an adaption of the Midway arcade game Rampage for New Line.
The game had the player going building to building destroying anything in their path, playing as one of three giant monsters – George the giant gorilla, Lizzie the lizard monster, and Ralph the giant werewolf.
In all likelihood the film will be a Godzilla/King Kong type of film, and is scheduled to start filming when Johnson is finished filming Furious 8. Look, Rampage was a decent game, at best. It was pretty mindless, but was usually worth a couple of quarters at the arcade. But there is a zero chance this film will be any good.
