Negative reviews of Colin Trevorrow’s The Book of Henry has had some fans worried abou Star Wars Episode IX, which the director co-wrote with Derek Connolly, and it looks as though Lucasfilm might have the same reservations. They’ve brought in Jack Thorne to make some rewrites on the script. Thorne is the creator of the British TV shows The Fades, The Cast-Offs, The Last Panthers, and National Treasure, and he has also worked on BBC’s adaptation of His Dark Materials and the anthology series Phillip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams.
There have been no official comments from Lucasfilm, but it’d definately possible they are hedging their bets. Star Wars Episode IX is set to open May of 2019.
