A teaser poster for a sequel to the 1987 Mel Brooks comedy Spaceballs began to pop up in Lower Manhattan. As they were taped up, and there’s been no official word about a sequel, it’s assumed the poster was fan made.
Mel Brooks has mentioned interest in making a sequel in the past, but has made it clear that he would not do it without Rick Moranis. In a surprisingly short film resume, Spaceballs stands out as one of Moranis’s funniest roles. We reported a few months ago that Moranis would come out of retirement for the right role, but a sequel to a thirty year old film isn’t likely to be the one.
