Ryan Reynolds has proven to be a brilliant marketer for his companies. In addition to Aviation Gin, Reynolds also has ownership in Mint Mobile, a cost-effective prepaid mobile company, and in his latest PR stunt, Reynolds announced that Mint Mobile is launching Mint Mobile +, a Disney +-like streaming service. The catch is that they are only streaming Reynolds’ very forgettable 2003 Canadian heist film, “Foolproof.” A visit to the website will find a streaming service designed to look a lot like Disney+, though every option to stream is “Foolproof.”
This is not Reynolds’ first venture into creative marketing. Acting as the spokesperson for Aviation Gin, Reynolds has provided some very Deadpool-esque ads for the company, including one featuring actress Monica Ruiz, who was at the heart of the Peloton commercial controversy last year.
“Foolproof” is currently streaming for free on Mint Mobile +.
