According to Variety, Sony is in talks with McG (Charlie’s Angels, We Are Marshall, Terminator: Salvation)to direct their live-action reboot of Masters of the Universe, based on the Mattel toy line. The 80’s toys popularity was boosted by the very popular animated series, which ran from 1983-1985, which was followed up with an incredibly lackluster film starring Dolph Lundgren in 1987. The ten year old in us hopes this is going to be a well made and faithful adaption. The adult in us is aware it will likely be a giant turdfest.
