Ever since it was announced that DC was making an animated adaption of the critically acclaimed Batman: The Killing Joke graphic novel. every fan boy with an internet connection was clamoring to have Mark Hamill return to play the Joker. Even Hamill himself was hopeful, Tweeting:
You’re not the only one w/ fingers crossed! https://t.co/PcKlgRQFaU

Well, get ready to wet those Batman Underoos, because Collinder is reporting that not only is Hamill returning to the role, but has already recorded his dialogue. As far as Batman is concerned, fan favorite Kevin Conroy has mentioned interest in once again putting on the animated cowl and working with Hamill again:
“There’s an online petition to have us do it! Oh, God! Are you kidding me? I’d do it in a heartbeat,” Conroy.I love working with him. I couldn’t believe when they killed off The Joker. I would love to do it, and I hope that that happens.”
Now, as it was noted, Hamill has supposedly already recorded his part, so either Batman has not been recorded yet (in which case, if Conroy is cast, he would not actually work with Hamill), or Conroy is being coy and has already recorded his part.
There is always debate as to which actor has portrayed the best onscreen Batman and onscreen Joker, but it’s safe to say that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill ARE Batman and the Joker, so the debate ends with them. Having Hamill return for such an important Joker story is incredible, and having Conroy back as well would be the icing on the cake.
