Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek will be returning for a sequel to last year’s “The Hitman’s Bodyguard.” The first film wasn’t terribly favorably received, but with a budget between $30–69 million and a $176.6 million worldwide box office, it was a considered a moderate success.
Patrick Hughes will return to direct a screenplay by Tom O’Connor. The story has Reynolds enlisted by Jackson and Hayek to join them on a mission on the Amalfi Coast. Production is expected to begin in March.
