After announcing yesterday that their much-anticipated George Clooney-directed sci-fi drama The Midnight Sky will be officially released in December of this year, Netflix today released the first trailer for the post-apocalyptic tale.
The film stars Clooney as a lone scientist in the Arctic who is trying to stop a pair of astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe. The Midnight Sky co-stars Felicity Jones, David Oyelowo, Kyle Chandler, Demián Bichir and Tiffany Boone.
Based on Lily Brooks-Dalton’s acclaimed novel Good Morning, Midnight, the film features a score by Alexandre Desplat and cinematography by Martin Ruhe. The screenplay was adapted from the novel by The Revenant scribe Mark L. Smith.
The Midnight Sky will be released in December on Netflix. See the trailer below:
