Spoiler for any one that has not seen Wonder Woman, but do remember how Steve Trevor didn’t quite make it to the end of the film? Well, that’s apparently not keeping Chris Pine from reprising his role in the film’s upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Seen in this official picture Tweeted by director Patty Jenkins, Trevor is seen in what appears top be a mall circa 1984, despite having died during World War I.
Fans of the original Wonder Woman TV series may recall that the first season of the show took place during World War II with Lyle Waggoner portraying Steve Trevor. When it was decided to move the show to present day (1970’s), Lyle Waggoner stayed on as Steve Trevor’s son, Steve Trevor Jr. While that is likely not the case here, it is unclear how his appearance will be explained, let alone in 1984.
Gal Gadot also recently Tweeted a picture of Diana watching a wall of monitors, in a very Oracle/Batcave kind of vibe. We’ll have more answers as we get to the November 1, 2019 release date.
