In ironic name news, the go-to entertainment magazine Entertainment Weekly will begin a monthly format staring in August. A change in how people digest their news is likely the reason. Entertainment Weekly‘s website had 18.9 million unique visitors in April, whereas the total circulation of the print magazine averages 1.5 million per month.
The magazine, who also named deputy editor JD Heyman as the new editor-in-chief, was bought by Meredith as part of a purchase of Time magazine in 2017, though Meredith has since sold off Time.
The first issue of the monthly format will focus on Comic-Con International.
