Actress Emma Fuhrmann went to Twitter to show gratitude to fans who showed support following the news that she was being replaced as Ant-Man ‘s daughter, Cassie Lang, in the upcoming Ant-Man & the Wasp:Quantumania by Kathryn Newton. “Just wanted to come on here & say that I see all your kind messages,” wrote the 19-year-old actress. “Thank you for all your support. It has meant the world to me. I was as sad as you all were to hear the news Thursday. I can only hope that this means there is something else for me in the future of the MCU. I will always be grateful to have been a part of the MCU & the biggest movie of all time. Being an actress is still my #1 passion & I look forward to what the future holds.”
Fuhrmann portrayed slightly more grown up version of Scott Lang’s daughter in Avengers: Endgame, who we see aged five years after Scott returns from the quantum realm. Kathryn Newton, best known from her roles in Big Little Lies, Detective Pikachu and Freaky, shared the video of the casting news, commenting, “Last night I dreamed of being a superhero.”
