The Jungle Cruise ride at Disney World is really one of the most boring things to do at the Magic Kingdom. It’s really nothing more than a 23 year old kid telling corny jokes to eleven year olds while they look at animatronic hippos. But, hey, let’ s make a movie out of it. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Dwayne Johnson will be starring in a film adaption of the popular ride. The only saving grace is that they plan on making more along the lines of the classic 1951 The African Queen, the 1951 classic starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn, which was the inspiration for the ride to begin with. Disney is trying to adapt any ride they can, regardless of how much of a bore it is, apparently. Expect the Carousel of Progress film in the near future.
