So Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are teaming up once again to bring The Devil in White City to the big screen. It’s based the novel The Devil In The White City: Murder, Magic And Madness At The Fair That Changed America. It is a very detailed account of H.H. Holmes, Americas most notorious serial killer. According to Deadline Paramount has given the green light on the film and that DiCaprio will be playing the Holmes. The story takes place in turn of the century Chicago at the time of the Worlds fair where Holme built the Worlds Fair Hotel, but used it to Lure his victims in and would eventually sell their skeletons for science. It was reported that the building held a dissection lab of sorts, a gas chamber a crematorium. Pretty dark and creepy stuff.
There are no dates as to when it will go in production, but if these two guys want a movie to happen it’s pretty hard to believe that it would not happen. The only question is when. Their collaborations in the past have given us a pretty wide variety of films, genre wise, and this seems to keep that spirit alive. Leo and Martin the bromance continues.
