‘Cowboy Bebop’ Cancelled by Netflix After One Season

Cowboy Bebop, Netflix’s ambitious, eagerly anticipated, yet ultimately underwhelming anime adaptation, has been canceled after just one season. The news comes only weeks after its November 19th debut. While it had a strong outing, bringing in almost 74 million viewing hours, it fizzled with fans, earning only  56% on Rotten Tomatoes.

“Cowboy Bebop” is a live-action adaptation of the wildly popular anime series of the same name. The live-action cast includes John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, and Alex Hassel. Production was shut down for the better part of a year in 2019 when Cho suffered a freak accident on the set.
