Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth Walk on “Star Trek 4”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth have walked away from negotiations to star in the fourth Star Trek reboot.  Hemsworth, who had a small role as Kirk’s father in 2009’s Star Trek, was going to return in a time travel story. But the two actors have walked away from the table. The actors state they have deals in place and that the studios are reneging on them, forcing them to take pay cuts as they try to budget a movie that is following a mediocre performer. Both actors stock have risen recently thanks to their roles in the comic book film universes, so it’s not surprising that they may balk at a pay cut, if not a bit more money this time around.

While  co-stars Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and John Cho have yet to negotiate their contracts, as Pine is the star of the franchise, it would be tough to move on without him.
