After a strong opening last weekend, the Chinese superhero parody film Pancake Man (Jian Bing Man) is getting a US release. The film tells the story of a street food vendor who gains super powers from his pancakes (?!). The film, which was written, directed by, and stars well known Chinese actor Da Peng, also features Jean-Claude Van Damme as a villain (?!).
Pancake Man is scheduled to be released on July 24 in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego, Boston, San Francisco and Seattle in the U.S., as well as Toronto and Vancouver in Canada.
