In addition to being an accomplished actor, the late Carrie Fisher was also an acclaimed writer, penning the books Postcards from the Edge, Surrender the Pink, Delusions of Grandma, The Best Awful There Is, Hollywood Moms, Wishful Drinking, Shockaholic, and last year’s The Princess Diarist, in addition to the screenplays for Postcards from the Edge, These Old Broads, and E-Girl. Lesser known was Fisher’s work as a script doctor. Many writers make a career out of cleaning up troubled screenplays, although they are not always credited for doing so.
