Warner Bros. has finally announced that Tim Burton’s long-awaited Beetlejuice 2 will finally be hitting theaters in September 6, 2024. Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B is producing the film Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who worked with Burton on Wednesday, wrote the screenplay.
Little is known about the film, though we do know that Michael Keaton will reprise his role as Beetlejuice, and Winona Ryder will play Lydia Deetz. Other cast members include Justin Theroux in an unspecified role and Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega, who plays Lydia’s daughter. Production is anticipated to start in London on May 10.
The original 1988 horror/comedy was commercial and critical success, spawning an animated series and a more recent hit Broadway show.
