With The Falcon and the Winter Soldier premiering this week on Disney+, Marvel Studios gave fans three new looks at the highly anticipated series.
Two exclusive clips were posted on Instagram this past Friday, starting with Sebastian Stan aka the Winter Soldier’s account…well, sort of. Anthony Mackie, the Falcon, took over Stan’s account for the afternoon after being accused of not knowing how to work Instagram. The actor wrote: “@AnthonyMackie here taking Sebastian’s account for a test ride. Took a minute to figure out where the post button was but I got there.” The post included the following clip:
Mackie also “hacked” Stan’s Instagram story further ragging on his co-star for accusing him of not being able to properly utilize the social media platform. The playful banter did not stop there however because, in the same afternoon, Stan returned the favor and posted a second exclusive clip, but on Mackie’s Instagram page. The caption read “I had to do this for him🙄 …1 week away. Enjoy the clip.”
As if fans weren’t revved up enough for the series premiere, Marvel Studios and Disney+ then released an action-packed final trailer Monday morning. The preview further depicts Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson struggling with the loss of Steve Rogers’ Captain America after he returned the infinity stones at the end of Avengers: Endgame and came back as an old man.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the second MCU television series to debut on Disney+. WandaVision was the first which had its season finale on March 5th and Loki will be the third to premiere on June 11th.
The first episode of Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to arrive on Disney+ this Friday. The series will consist of six episodes in total.
