Disney has once again pushed back the release of Marvel’s Black Widow, Eternals and Shang Chi, as well as Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story and Kenneth Branagh’s Death on the Nile. Most recently scheduled for a Nov. 6 release, Black Widow is now looking at a May 7, 2021 release, Eternals moves to Nov. 5, 2021 from Feb. 12, 2021, and Shang Chi has moved from May 7, 2021 to July 9, 2021. Death from Death on the Nile has moved its Oct. 23, 2020 premiere date back to Dec. 18, 2020 while West Side Story is being pushed back an entire year, from Dec. 18, 2020 to Dec. 10, 2021. The moves have shuffled around the studios’ release slate for the next year. Warner Bros.’ lackluster box office for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is likely he reasoning behind the moves. Oddly, Disney’s Soul its keeping its Nov. 20, 2020 date.
