Deadline is reporting that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are re-teaming for the comedy Holmes & Watson. Etan Cohen is set to direct the comedic adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective, Sherlock Holmes. The actors previously starred together in Talladega Nights and Step Brothers, with pretty successful results.
This isn’t the only Sherlock Holmes adaptation we’ve seen in recent years. Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law have starred in the action packed Guy Ritchie film series, Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu currently star in the CBS series Elementary, Benedict Cumberbatch is starring in the BBC series Sherlock, and Ian McKellan recently starred as an aging Sherlock in the film Mr. Holmes.
